Tasting: Casas del Bosque Sauvignon Blanc
Name - Casas del Bosque Sauvignon Blanc
Variety - Sauvignon Blanc
Region - Casablanca Valley
Country - Chile
Year - 2012
Price - $12.95
Wine Review - This Sauvignon Blanc has energetic, precise lemon and pear qualities, with floral, herbal and mineral accents adding complexity. The wine scored 90 points under Steven Tanzer's review.
Personal Review - The wine definitely had a strong citrus flavor. To me, a grape fruit taste stood out. It was a decent wine because the citrus and grapefruit tastes did not overpower the wine. I liked that it was more sweeter than it was tart. I liked it and would have it again, but I would not necessarily purchase it.
Food - I did not try this wine with food, so I am unsure how it would pair.
