Tasting: Hugl Gruner Veltliner

Name - Hugl Gruner Veltliner
Variety - Gruner Veltliner
Region - Niederosterreich
Country - Austria
Year 2013
Price - It is normally priced $14, but the Vintage Cellar had it on sale for $7.95.

Wine Review - Ripe Concord pear and an intriguing, phenolic mouth-feel combine in this highly drinkable light wine. There is enough weight to support food and a pleasing hint of savoriness as well.

Personal Review - This was an interesting wine, and I have not tasted anything like it before. There were bursts of bitter flavors that I attributed to a tart, lime-like flavor almost. But there were also \fruity, sweet flavors that I noticed in the after taste. Overall I would say it was a fruity wine with citrus flavors.

Food - I did not try this wine with any food.
