Tasting: Maipe Torrontes
Name - Maipe Torrontes
Variety - Torrontes
Region - Mendoza
Country - Argentina
Year - 2013
Price - $7.95
Wine Review - This wine has a spring-like nose of fresh white peaches, pears, green apple, green melon and hints of jasmine and rose petals. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure and acidity along with fruit flavors and plenty of body. Well balanced, this wine displays a pleasant freshness with citrus notes and a long finish.
Personal Review - This wine was definitely sweet. It smelled fruity, and I tasted pear flavors in the after taste. I liked the after-taste, but not as much as the body of the wine. Overall, it was decent, but I would not purchase it. I would, however, drink it again if it was offered to me due to its fresh fruit flavoring.
Food - I did not try this wine with food.
